We spend so much time in the playroom ever since I freshened it up after the new year. Toys had begun to overrule the space, and momma had to take care of that. Anytime the twins played, there were toys from here to Timbucktoo, and it was overwhelming to play in the space…not to mention clean it every day. Ugh.
So over a span of a couple of days, I organized the majority of their toys inside the closet, so what was left was pleasing to the eyes for the twins and myself. When there are less options, screaming at the twins in the face, they seem to not be as overwhelmed about what to play with. They can ask for things to be taken out of the closet, or help themselves, and it makes for easier cleanup when everything has a place.
But, of course, I had to make it cute! We decided to add a table in the room because the twins are getting big enough to craft by themselves and I like to work with them most days to help extend their learning from the classroom. This table had been sitting in our garage while we were waiting for the perfect place to put it. Once we, finally, got it cleaned up and sealed it was ready for its new home. The sweet thing is, this is the kitchen table my husband grew up eating around! So the Miller memories just keep living on!
Below you will find information and links to decor items in the playroom. Sometimes, it just takes a little bit of a new perspective on a room to make it work for you, and your family, right now.
